Growing up in Maine, Kristen would often spend weekends exploring the state with her parents. This gave her a deep appreciation for all that northern New England has to offer and started her on her love of farming.
After college, she stumbled into a career in banking. To help feed her passion for farming, she also spent three years as live-in caretaker at a farm; a position that included tending a team of oxen, sheep, pigs, a small flock of laying hens and a rooster. After 15 years in the finance industry, Kristen made the decision to leave the corporate world in order to find a position at an organization that better aligned with her values. She is excited to use the skills she has built during her prior roles (and her deep love of spreadsheets) to help Wolfe’s Neck Center manage their grants portfolio and assist in achieving their goals.
In her free time, Kristen enjoys exploring the woods, making things out of old doors, trying to convince fruits and vegetables to grow on the side of a windy mountain, and traveling (including farm visits whenever possible).
