Caroline Clare Davis lives in Wiscasset Maine and paints in oils and acrylics. As Arts Coordinator at Coastal Maine Botanicals Gardens, she is inspired daily by the gardens and trees as well as by the many species dependent on them. She often gathers specimens and does detailed botanical drawings of a subject before incorporating a particular plant or insect into her work.

“My subject is the Maine landscape. However, I love color and often take artistic license if painting a gray Maine seascape or winter sky.”
