Starting Seeds With Row Cover

Here at Wolfe’s Neck Center, our fruit and vegetable farmers start their summer crops in late March and early April. Even though the ground is cool, they have techniques for keeping the seeds protected. One is using a light cloth for row cover, which insulates and captures heat as the sun radiates throughout the day. Watch as farmers Tom and Eliza demonstrate its use on one row in our greenhouse, and take some tips on how you can apply this in your own home garden.
